No matter which coast you live on, convenience and privacy are key when vaping away from home.
Views on marijuana are greatly divided between East and West Coasts – both on whether to legalize recreational marijuana and on the types of strains that are popular among the locals. Between Coasts, though, there is one ideal that both can get on board with – their love for the green stuff, weed that is.
While many choose to smoke by rolling blunts, others are gravitating towards the vaporizer market, specifically vape pens. With vape pens, a marijuana user can get the most from the plant by using THC concentrates. TheVape.Guide has compiled a very informative list of the best vape pens based on their look, ease of use, and other qualities.
Vape pens are a portable, discreet way to enjoy concentrates.
Cannabis Legalization on the Coasts
While many are advocates for the recreational and medicinal use of marijuana, there are others that still remain on the fence. This has led to only a handful of states on the West and East Coast to pass laws for the legalization of marijuana. States that have chosen marijuana have seen a boom in the cannabis industry and an added addition to those states’ economies.
For the East Coast, the only states that have legalized weed are Maine and Massachusetts with others that have started with limited medicinal cannabis programs. Maine law states that adults over the age of 21 are allowed to have up to 2.5 ounces of cannabis for personal use, up to 5 grams of concentrates or hash, and can cultivate up to 6 plants at their residence.
For the West Coast, the following states have recently legalized the use of recreational marijuana – Oregon, California, and Washington. In Oregon, you must be 21 years or older to use recreational cannabis and are allowed to use it in your home or on private property. Amounts for each form include one ounce of dried herb, one ounce of concentrates, 4 immature plants, etc.
Common sense would tell you that the coast with the most states with recreational marijuana use legalized are the most accepting. There is a study, “Reefer Madness”, that surveyed students from a number of different colleges all over the United States. Many of the questions had to do with quality of life, academics, student living, and, surprisingly, how often marijuana is used on campus. Based on the answer to those questions, the colleges were ranked. While there were some colleges from the West Coast who ranked in the top 10, the majority of them were from the East Coast – including one from Florida. Therefore, it can be assumed that being a stoner in college is better received by East Coast universities. Who knew?
Final Thoughts on Vaping Weed in the States
With legalization still a somewhat grey area, we suggest using a vape pen. A vaporizer makes getting high much more enjoyable, convenient, and discreet. Vape pens mask the smell of weed, promote a clean high, and are used exclusively with extracts which take the most concentrated parts of the flower, making it very potent.
